Dr Ivan P. Petrov is a classical philologist and Slavist interested in comparative and diachronic linguistic studies. His research focuses on the place of Proto-Slavic morphological phenomena in the context of the Indo-European language family, the reception of early patristic texts in Old Church Slavonic and the transfer of ideas through translations between Byzantium and the Slavs. He is currently a post-doctoral assistant at the Department of Slavonic Studies at the University of Vienna.
